In Friday’s episode of ABC’s Last Man Standing (http://forums.previously.tv/topic/47926-season-6-discussion/?page=2), Baxter daughter Eve (Kaitlyn Dever) introduces her new boyfriend, Rob, to her parents. During a conversation with Mike (Tim Allen) before brunch, twenty-year-old Travis admits to Mike that he is a recovering alcoholic. Yikes! The guy isn’t even old enough to legally drink.
I get that "liberal Hollywood" has gone after conservatives for years, but the one thing that bugs me about this show is that Tim Allen tries to shoehorn politics into the show instead of just making it a light family sitcom.
Liberal or conservative, I get annoyed when shows try to beat you over the head with politics, and I think Tim tries too hard here. We get it, you're sticking it to the left. That, and I don't think he's really as edgy as he thinks he is with the political jokes.

I thought that the guy's story about himself for Mike was going to be different than the one that he gave to Eve. When she left her dad to go find Rob, I thought that she was going off to confront him over his dishonesty and then ask him which story is true.
God bless you always!!!

Tim Allen has said that his character is an educated Archie Bunker and that what he says comes from a place of intelligence not ignorance. He also said that it gives the writers who identify as liberal an opportunity to write some great material which Allen at times has told them the character would never say.
