In cartoons today I have noticed that cartoons are being computer animated and replacing hand drawn animation and I would like to know why this is? Is this because computer animation makes cartoons easy to make or is it because cartoon production companies are advancing to computer animated cartoons to make the cartoons more colorful? Take for instance Disney Junior has used computer animation in some of their cartoons such as Doc McStuffins Elena Of Avalor Sofia The First and Goldie And Bear and when I watch Elena Of Avalor every morning on Disney Channel I am so amazed at how Disney drew the animation for Elena Of Avalor and it makes the show great. A second channel that uses computer animation in it's cartoons is Nickelodeon and they have done an awesome job on it's revival of the Alvin And The Chipmunks cartoon and I've also noticed that Spongebob Squarepants is also sometimes computer animated and it surprises me that today you'll see few cartoons being hand drawn this century and it seems that computer animation is the new trend in cartoons today

It's more efficient and more cost-effective. Unfortunately, from a business standpoint, studios have no motivation to bankroll hand-drawn content anymore.

There should be a CGI version of Jonny Quest if you ask me

I think some cartoons are made for CGI, and some are made for hand drawing. If they could just combine the two and make a CGI that looks hand drawn, it will be great! What do you think Bestie?

Theyve done that for years. Just about every adult swim cartoon, Archer, and more are all created digitally. Most notably would be family guy. Compare the first two seasons to what it looks like now- drastic change.
