In 1987 ABC launched Animal Crack-Ups a really funny and cute game show hosted by the late Alan Thicke that featured a panel of celebrities answering wonderful questions about animal antics and for each answer correct the celebrity contestants would be given the cutest stuffed monkeys and the celebrity contestants with the most stuffed monkeys won the game and money for their charity. Animal Crack-Ups also was produced by Vin DiBona Productions and also reruns aired on ABC Saturday mornings as well. It would be cool if Animal Crack-Ups would be added to GSN or BuzzrTV because it was such a cute game show. Or perhaps Animal Crack-Ups could be revived for Animal Planet with Jeff Corwin or Jack Hanna replacing Alan Thicke as host. Would that be so fun to watch?

I remember Alan Thicke hosting Animal Crackups, a rare Saturday morning game show. He did a great job as host and interacted with the celebrities very well. The show would still work today, given the right host and execution as well as the right network. I do agree that Animal Planet would be the perfect spot for a revival of Animal Crackups.

I think GSN or somebody should pay homage to Alan Thicke by rerunning Animal Crackups. We lost a great entertainer in Mr. Thicke. Do you know any trivia about him Bestie? I know that he wrote the theme song for Wheel of Fortune. What do you know?

I remember watching Animal Crack Ups, I was a teenager in high school when it was on originally. Alan Thicke sang (and I believe wrote) the show's theme song. I always thought it was a good fun and entertaining show. I remember one episode they even had his Growing Pains costars as the panelists. I think it was Joanna Kerns, Kirk Cameron, and Jeremy Miller. They probably would've had Tracy Gold too but the show was limited to only 3 panelists. I think it would be great if they brought Animal Crack Ups back but I'm undecided on who should host it if they ever did.
