Modern Family is currently airing its eighth season on ABC. Eight seasons is a long time for a comedy to air, although it certainly doesn't place the show among the longest-running comedies yet. Still, after eight seasons on network TV the cast is looking at the future, and recently Modern Family lead Eric Stonestreet revealed what is going on with the end of the series (https://www.yahoo.com/style/m/3904b8e4-3f89-3c57-bf37-219aba062e8b/next-season-could-be-the-last.html). Here's what he had to say: All of the cast, we're now sort of in the twilight of the show... We've shot more than we're going to shoot in the future. We're at the end of the series, in a sense, and I think what keeps us going now is that we want to go out as strong, and positive, and great as we possibly can, whether that's one

If Eric is referring that this current season which is their eighth might be their last I certaintly hope not, it's true that's its starting to show it's age but to me it's still the funniest show in the last couple of years and I'm a hard man to please when it comes to sitcoms.

I certaintly don't want it to go past it's prime (ex: The Big Bang Theory), I'd like to last at least to a tenth season that's a nice round number and maybe the finale can show the audience to whom the families were saying their confessions to all this time.
