Though I have a favorite overall episode as far as "funny" I still think that there are individual scenes that are not done right or just that I don't like how they were done.
I do like "The Bunkers and The Swingers" because it depicts what what a funny situation it is when there is a huge misunderstanding (Edith did not know she was allowing a swinging couple to come over to the house) , and the swinging couple are a funny pair, but there are some scenes in the episode that i think are not funny or clever.
However there are some individual scenes in All In The Family in different episodes that I think are funny though the entire episode that it is in , is not particularly funny.
I think that the episode in which Michael Stivick was having feelings toward a woman that he was tutoring (Bernadette Peters) has a very hilarious scene in which he is sitting with his student in her home and trying to explain some kind of complicated math to her ( I think calculus) and he keeps getting distracted from the subject he is trying to explain and finally Bernadette Peter's character says to him that she can see that he is attracted to her and that it is all right with her if he wants to make a move on her ( or something very similar to that).
Then Mike starts saying that the idea that he is attracted to her is ridiculous because he has a wife and a child on the way and he cannot possibly be attracted to another woman but then his student just starts kissing him and he does not make an attempt to fight her off but allows it.
I should say that the way I originally remember this scene is different from the version that is in You Tube and perhaps different from what is on DVDs since many TV shows had different outtakes from scenes that were used instead of what was originally shown on TV.
However I think that this is the funniest scene of all other scenes that were in any episode of All In The Family.
What scene do you out there think was the funniest? You can talk about episodes but I am asking which one scene do you think was funny.
