The death toll from wildfires blazing in and around the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee rose to seven on Wednesday even as drenching rains helped firefighters suppress flames that have left whole neighborhoods in ruins.

The tally of documented property losses from the fires also climbed to more than 700 structures damaged or destroyed throughout Sevier County, including at least 300 in the resort town of Gatlinburg.

I live near dolly wood its not dolly wood but im from chanttaogan.TN thats were the fires started from me my mom & dad could see the smoke from our house we were sevral miles form the fires we just saw the smoke!! i feel sorry for the firefighters now they got to go to Alabama to fight the damage of the tornados happens couple days ago!! we really need to pray for the fire fighters!! i also recommend praying for some rain there's an chance of rain this upcoming sunday monday tuesday & wednesday!! we been in an heat drought all summer long!! please pray for some rian!!
