I am very skinny and had to go in the pool for gym class. Something that I notice is that I have a lot of trouble moving around in the water. I'll try to walk in the water but its really hard. Is this for everyone or does it only happen to certain people?

Water is more dense than air. The density is what makes it heavy. Even though it can't be seen, density occurs on a molecular level. Water is a compound we call H2O. That means that it is made up of 2 hydrogen atoms for each oxygen atom. Hydrogen atoms are the lightest element in nature, oxygen is somewhat heavier. But it is the molecular bond they form together at room temperature that makes water what it is. Sand is more dense than water and if you are unfortunately buried in enough sand you cannot move at all.

maybe you should look into some swimming lessons - you'll be able to move through the water a lot faster.

LIving close to a beach all my life, I never thought of water being difficult to walk in. I suppose if you never had been in water, it would be something new to do and you would find it hard to do. Just practice. Just wait till you try to float on your back. Now that can be scary and difficult.
