If the character appears in one episode and mentioned by name in another it doesn't count either.

Famous people playing themselves don't count. Like Rock Hudson or Don Loper.

A famous person playing someone other than himself is OK (Like Tennessee Ernie Ford would have been OK but he appeared in multiple episodes)

The same actor playing different roles, that's fine, so long as the CHARACTER is only in one episode.

No "double characters" like Teensy and Weensy (though you could pick ONE of the two)

The first character that came to my mind is Minnie Finch from "Fan Magazine Interview." I watched this episode many times over many years without realizing (until I later read it) that Minnie Finch was played by the same Kathryn Card who played Mrs. McGillicuddy. The look and manner of those two characters is so completely different, she was unrecognizable to me in the role of Minnie Finch as being that same actress. That's a major credit to Kathryn Card. Fooled me!
