My aunt recently gave me and Mom a recipe for a soup that's one of her favorite foods and I would like to know if anyone has tried it before? It's a soup with canned chicken or you can use turkey in it too and you use the Knorr tomato cubes to make the juice and it's delicious and I had never heard of this soup until my aunt told me about it

canned chicken? canned TURKEY? how big is this can we are talking about? why couldn't you just use a real chicken or turkey? it is actually not that difficult to make soup - I will sometimes do it with the leftovers after making a roast chicken, just make sure you have a good way to get the nasty bits and bones out.

I suppose you could can anything I guess... canned bacon, canned spare ribs, canned buffalo wings, canned buffalo, canned cow, canned bread, canned cake...

Chicken soup is wonderful, and works like a charm when I get a cold. Clears it right up. And so easy to make from scratch too. Just get a nice meaty and fatty piece of chicken (I use skin because I don't have any heart issues) some celery carrots, a little onion, some chicken boullion to taste and away we go! I leave out noodles cause I'm mildly diabetic, but if noodles are not an issue then plop then right in. Noodles are wonderful, but for me they're a rare treat and only in very small amounts. But hey, I'm not complaining as I get to have skin!

Canned soup is OK, but homemade is wonderful.

I've made homemade chicken soup one time and it came out well.

But next time I may have the noodles in separate since crock pots make the noodles too flimsy.

The soup I had on Friday is like chicken noodle soup and how you make it is you take some chicken broth and add the Knorr Tomato Cubes and for the noodles you use a type of noodles called fideo and then add the turkey to the soup and then you have a delicious and wonderful soup. And also fideo soup by itself is wonderful too and it's a very popular Mexican food
Hope you get to enjoy the recipe JamesG you're a wonderful friend

Well of course I've had chicken noodle soup many times but adding tomato cubes sounds like an interesting addition. I may try that sometime.

Thank you for reminding me Bestie!! You described an old family recipe for left over Turkey!! We would make Fideo noodles, with Knorr Tomate bullion cubes and put left over Turkey in it and it is DELICIOUS!! Yes you can use canned chicken in it too. Sounds like some people here are confused because they don't know what "fideo is. They should look it up on google! You cannot get canned fideo, you have to make it yourself. I made some because of you Bestie! Thanks for reminding me! It is a great way to use left over turkey!!!
