DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 05:57 AM I am here...on 2 hours of sleep.
I am here as well, thankfully on bit more sleep than that LOL.
Why do you not have an avatar and your name repeats twice instead when I see your posts?

That IS my avatar.
MIND GAMES.
DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 05:59 AM That IS my avatar.
MIND GAMES.
It definitely threw me off LOL. Almost thought it was some type of special thing for having as many posts as you do and being a forum legend.
Chad22 11-24-2016, 05:59 AM *Needs to come up with a clever Thanksgiving avatar now cause I didn't last night*
DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 06:00 AM *Needs to come up with a clever Thanksgiving avatar now cause I didn't last night*
I don't know if mine is clever but I did LOL. From happy Bridgit Mendler that shared her stuffing with Kermit last year to stingy Bridgit ready to chow down and wants no one near her food.

LOL I like it.
*To be honest, since you're here so little I couldn't remember if you had that last year or not*
DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 06:04 AM LOL I like it.
*To be honest, since you're here so little I couldn't remember if you had that last year or not*
Nope LOL, I think last year I showed up with an outdated one and you were upset with me about not making a new one so I ended up doing so right then and there.
This year I was ready (and had a lot of time to kill so figured I might as well).
Chad22 11-24-2016, 06:05 AM There, Thanksgiving avatar problem solved.

You and me both. When I realized I wasn't getting back to bed, I just went ahead and put up my Christmas lights and tree this morning.

Sadly, I doubt it. Didn't end up getting to sleep until about midnight.

Chad22 11-24-2016, 06:09 AM Love the Thanksgiving avatar too, TFio.
Stormtracker TF 11-24-2016, 06:09 AM TF! Happy Thanksgiving, how's it going?
Extremely tired, but otherwise just glad to be here in spite of everything. You?
Chad22 11-24-2016, 06:10 AM Sadly, I doubt it. Didn't end up getting to sleep until about midnight.
I went at about 10 but me and going to bed early do not mix. Ended up taking like an hour just to fall asleep, then I woke up at 1 to use the bathroom and never got back to bed. Gonna be a loooong day.
Stormtracker TF 11-24-2016, 06:11 AM Love the Thanksgiving avatar too, TFio.
Thanks, I may make a new one for this year but I believe this was my 2012 Thanksgiving avatar.
DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 06:11 AM Love the Thanksgiving avatar too, TFio.
Me too, that's one huge box of stuffing  .
Even though I'm not a fan of it, stuffing really does feel nostalgic with these threads.
Chad22 11-24-2016, 06:12 AM Thanks, I may make a new one for this year but I believe this was my 2012 Thanksgiving avatar.
Bet you'd love to come home to that one day and see what's behind that stuffing box, eh?

You're telling me. I'm about to have to deal with crazy people who for some strange reason believe that you should go SHOPPING on Thanksgiving day until 1:30am. :(
DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 06:12 AM Extremely tired, but otherwise just glad to be here in spite of everything. You?
Sort of the same, a long day myself but wasn't missing this and glad you didn't. I will say, it feels good to be doing this on an actual laptop compared to the past two years of doing it on the One.

I have never and will never understand how you're not a fan of stuffing.
I'm not gonna say it's the STAR of Thanksgiving, but it deserves equal billing with turkey and pie.

Still think that's kinda messed up. I understand restaurants and stuff being open on Thanksgiving cause not everyone has somewhere to go, but Thanksgiving isn't for SHOPPING.

I do not envy this. Even going to the stores today seemed like they were packed with people doing last minute shopping, I can only imagine one of the busiest shopping days of the year. Be sure to have something hanrdy nearby for anyone that steps over the line.

I don't know what to tell you there, it's not like condiments to me but I also just never really cared for it whenever I have eaten it. My family never minds though when we eat out since they get to feast on it

Chad22 11-24-2016, 06:21 AM The fact that this is even the 14th year of us doing this blows my mind.

Scrolling through that thread is like a time machine seeing all of these long time members and all of the people passing through over the years.

My kids will be keeping that thread going when everyone in that thread has been long dead.
DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 06:24 AM The fact that this is even the 14th year of us doing this blows my mind.
It is amazing too that not only is that the case but that people remember enough even after 14 years to stop by and participate. One of those things no matter where life changes and takes things, it's still a priority.
Chad22 11-24-2016, 06:24 AM Likewise! How are you? How are things up in the Pine Tree State these days?
Pretty good. Got some snow this week which made me happy.
That's when you KNOW holiday time is here.

It's a surreal feeling to look at the first of our threads and think "I was a kid when this happened"
Where does time go?

But why did she use the CAKE emoji for this?
Stormtracker TF 11-24-2016, 06:48 AM What time do ye have to go to work, TFio?
Probably will be leaving about 3:45PM for that. Hopefully I am able to sneak some food in first.
Stormtracker TF 11-24-2016, 06:49 AM Well, I don't have any orange juice right now while listening to Ryan Cabrera at dawn, but I am drinking some Vanilla Coke, which means the Holidays are definitely HERE.
Chad22 11-24-2016, 06:49 AM But why did she use the CAKE emoji for this?
Because she's an amazingly sweet person that didn't want to offend the cake lovers, so she gave them a shout out even though she made her preference for pie known.
Chad22 11-24-2016, 06:49 AM Probably will be leaving about 3:45PM for that. Hopefully I am able to sneak some food in first.

Mountain Dew Game Fuel for me, which technically represents the coming of Fall but is around until January or February so it also has great holiday significance for me.

I miss the days when I had random bottles of orange juice in my fridge  . Now it's Powerade but the spirit is still there.

We'll probably eat at like 2, like in the old days, because I'll be leaving so early. But the wild card is that we rarely ever eat at the time we set in the beginning, so who knows where this will end up.

DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 06:55 AM I rarely drink orange juice even though I enjoy it.
I drink it nearly every morning with breakfast, so it lives on in some form. It's definitely one of those drinks you can't drink too much of at once though, at least I can't.

Get sick of it?
I think I probably drink it maybe 4-5 times a year.
Sometimes I get some Donald Duck orange juice at Dollar Tree cause...it has Donald Duck on the bottle. When you see Donald Duck on a bottle of orange juice, you buy it.

I've had that before too, fine Orange Juice  .
Too much and I get sick of it but once a day works fine. I drink milk about the same, outside of eating cereal or having milk and cookies.

I'm more used to the carton but it has that same logo. Hard to pass that by when you see in stores and not want to buy some.

They should put that logo on everything. They'd triple their sales.
DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 07:03 AM I drink milk even less and rarely ever even have cereal. I used to eat it a bit but for whatever reason these days I'm spoiled and need hot food.
I find that cereal isn't as filling as it used to be either. It takes about 3 or 4 bowls for me to feel reasonably full and usually makes me incredibly hungry by dinner time.

Yeez, given how little you normally eat I'd probably need 8-9 bowls of the stuff.
DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 07:04 AM They should put that logo on everything. They'd triple their sales.

I still have an empty can of that in my room somewhere as a monument to it's legacy. I can't remember if that was 2003 or 2004, but it was only around for that one Holiday season. :(

It is, I think it's still going on for another five days. Looking through there now to see what I want to get, the entire season of that is a little over 13 dollars too so about to buy and download what's out.
Stormtracker TF 11-24-2016, 07:11 AM I drink milk even less and rarely ever even have cereal. I used to eat it a bit but for whatever reason these days I'm spoiled and need hot food.

DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 07:13 AM I HATE milk outside of cereal.
That's my go to with dessert. It's kind of sweet enough but not overly so to be able to go well with it in my opinion. Water after eating something sweet is kind of a weird combination while soda or punch sometimes can make for a weird taste along with it.

I saw that, I didn't see the price but that's reasonably good for a 360 game. If it's multiplayer, I'd give it a shot because the idea of us all playing a Duck Tales game sounds amusing
Actually benefitted me this year happening the week it did since it was a week where I was able to get a gift card. Usually I'm on the outside looking in on all these Black Friday sales.

DA HOME GUY 11-24-2016, 07:17 AM Hey Joe, is NBA JAM: On Fire any good or multiplayer?
I've never played that believe it or not so no clue. From all I've heard, it's basically like the arcade NBA Jams but I'm not sure if it is multiplayer or not.

Basically my Mom and I went to go vote and she told me to meet up in this room when we were done, but I somehow stupidly ended up walking into an area I wasn't supposed to be (this has happened alot in my life) and led to about 10 minutes of me walking through empty hallways with NO idea where I am, somehow ending up in the basement of the place at one point, and finally leaving through an emergency exit that was the only way I could find to get out of there.
Then my Mom yells at me for taking too long and says I could have set off some alarm or something by leaving through that exit and ruined the whole election for my town.

I wish I could get my hands on one just for nostalgia. That always has been my favorite computer for some reason, probably because it was my first laptop.
I remember it came loaded with Office, Encarta Encyclopedia, a copy of Windows 98, all of the drivers on floppy disks, and a bunch of other stuff. These days you would NEVER never see that. Just a laptop in a box with a power cable and maybe a tiny unreadable manual.

We really have. It's actually kinda sad when I look back at old posts and have no idea who some people are, and I tend to have a good memory.

To be fair, most of those people would have no clue who we were either most likely.
That would be like someone back in those days remembering someone random they crossed paths with briefly in 1989/1990.

At the VERY least, you'll probably have some good stories for the next podcast.
Which won't be happening anytime this weekend because of the crazyness going on at Joe's house right now. :(
We GOTTA get some Christmas shows done though. They're the best of the year.

I hope so too, it's tough with Joe's current situation.
Friday's are usually good, as are Wednesdays. I think we could probably work out Thursdays but I'd have to check with him cause he usually goes to bed early that night.

I'd say that works for me, but it has to be a week by week thing because I have NO idea what my hours are going to be like.

Just let me know what days are good for you as they come. Weekends are tricky and Monday and Tuesday are wrestling days, but honestly I wouldn't even be opposed to doing it on a Monday if Joe isn't.
