"Woke" white people making snide remarks about accusations of police brutality seems to be a theme this week. Tuesday’s episode of Fox’s Scream Queens titled “Blood Drive” (http://forums.previously.tv/topic/50831-s02e06-blood-drive/?do=getLastComment) included an anti-cop throwaway line at the beginning of the show.
The character of Ingrid Hoffel, played by actress Kirstie Alley, tells the viewer that the Chanels killed her sister so now she is consumed with the desire for revenge, but she is not the “Green Meanie” – the serial killing monster that has been the focus of the show.
Hoffel deliberately says that people can’t just kill other people – unless you are a Baltimore police officer. Wow. It was a completely random and unnecessary line of hatred towards America’s heroes in blue. Though not specifically referenced by name, no doubt the viewer is to think of the death of Freddie Grey in the back of a police van.
