Not necessarily because they're insane or evil per se, but because they're... difficult. ;)

Right about now I'd say Hillary Clinton.

I've heard that Chevy Chase is really difficult to work with. My cousin who worked on the show "COMMUNITY" says he's "a really mean, nasty s.o.b."

I heard that more than once. I also heard that Alec Baldwin can be an ******* on and off camera.

As for Alec Baldwin, I remember years ago his telephone conversation with his daughter Ireland wasn't the most fatherly. From then on, I never cared for him.

Yeah. I recently saw him hosting the new Match Game and he came across as kind of a jerk I thought! :(

That's absolutely true. I knew some of the original SNL people and they all hated him.

If you can ever find the Chevy Chase roast on Youtube, it's worth a viewing. However, the jokes were pretty messed up...to the point of where I don't think the roasters were joking. It almost made me feel bad for the guy.

Cybill Shepherd comes to mind. She has had problems with both Bruce Willis and Christine Baranski. Chuck Lorre has also mentioned having had troubles with her.

Roseanne Barr/Arnold was also apparently difficult for many to work with, particularly writers.

Shannen Doherty has had a reputation of being difficult to work with.

Patty Duke

Val Kilmer
Debra Winger
Mike Myers
Katherine Heigl
Gwyneth Paltrow
Russell Crowe
Edward Norton
Steven Seagal
James Cameron
Kanye West
Sharon Stone
Mariah Carey
Christian Bale
Lucie Arnez
It’s been said that Lucille Ball was tough to work with.
Jennifer Lopez

Cop Out director Kevin Smith says that Bruce Willis was "soul crushing" to work with. He has a reputation for being standoffish and unapproachable.

Julia Roberts was nicknamed "Tinkerhell" by the crew of the movie Hook.

Shia LaBeouf: It seems that everybody who stars alongside Shia LaBeouf has something unpleasant to say about him, and they can’t all be wrong, can they?

Marc Cherry, the creator of Desperate Housewives, has testified in court that Teri Hatcher is, and we quote, “the meanest woman anywhere in the world”

Beyoncé: Apparently the officials at the 2013 Super Bowl will be very happy if they never meet her again. She was unofficially crowned the “Most Difficult Celebrity” after her ridiculous demands the last time.

Chevy Chase was actually banned from Saturday Night Live after verbally abusing fellow cast members and slapping Chery Oteri during a rehearsal. He was also booted off Community after using racial slurs on set and fighting publicly with series creator Dan Harmon.

Alec Baldwin's erratic behavior and bad temper have become notorious. His MSNBC show was canceled after just five episodes, after two occasions when he used homophobic slurs.

Madonna is apparently a very difficult actress to work with and often refuses to do what directors ask, perhaps because she's used to being in charge.

Lea Michele is rumored to be a major diva on the set of Glee. Guest star Kate Hudson, who is friends with Michele, allegedly called her a "nightmare" to work with

Shannen Doherty is notorious for being a diva on set and was fired from both Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed.

On the set of The Royal Tenenbaums, Gene Hackman allegedly called co-writer Noah Baumbach a very nasty name and he told director Wes Anderson to "pull up his pants and act like a man."

Cybill Shepard's behavior on the set of her 1995 sitcom Cybill was reputedly so nightmarish that 10 years later, the show's writers created an episode of CSI in which a character based on Shepherd gets murdered.

Whoopi Goldberg is such a condescending control freak on The View, always telling people she disagrees with that their opinion is wrong and lecturing them about how to feel about a particular issue.

Very talented actress but a terrible moderator who interrupts people when they are in mid sentence.

I herd Linda Lavin was hard to work with on Alice. Rosanne was hard to work with on her sit com with the behind the cameras people but some of the actors like John Goodman are still good friends. Also Ret Butler I herd was hard to work with on Grace Under Fire with he producers, etc.. but I don't know how the actors felt about her. I herd on the radio the other morning that Ellen can be hard to work with on her talk show even though she seems so nice to the audience.

Once Harvey Korman was rude to a guest star (don't know who) Carol fired him and Harvey begged to come back and never did that again.

Once one of Madonna's dancers got one of the steps wrong and she made him actually kiss her feet. So I guess when you're a diva you can act like an A hole. Oh, Maria Carey doesn't let any of her nannies get too close to her kids or she fires them. How can a really good nanny not get close, it makes you a good nanny.

I respectfully disagree.

She steamrolls over people who have a differing opinion. She is very rude and dismissive in my opinion.

Mariah Carey was such a good singer, I loved her early stuff.

She has become such a caricature, its kind of funny actually in a weird way.

I love that story.

Carol was/is the ultimate show biz pro along with Betty White.
