Exclusive: "The Goldbergs" Taps Kevin Smith to Direct an Episode

Kevin Smith will direct an episode of "The Goldbergs", TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
No other details were released, but the episode will film early next year and has an unspecified airdate as of now.
The gig will reunite the Jay and Silent Bob creator with "The Goldbergs" creator Adam F. Goldberg, who co-wrote the 2009 film Fanboys, about Star Wars fanatics, in which Smith had a cameo.
Goldberg was also a supervising producer on the documentary The Death of "Superman Lives": What Happened?, in which Kevin Smith appeared.
