In TV today I've noticed that medical dramas are now regaining popularity with viewers and I would like to know why this is? Is it because medical dramas are very popular with fans or is it because medical dramas get more ratings in TV to attract people to the shows? Ever since ABC debuted Grey's Anatomy in 2005 I have seen a lot of medical dramas being made starting with the Grey's Anatomy spin-off Private Practice and soon after the popularity of Grey's Anatomy began NBC started making good medical dramas starting with Chicago Med and CBS also started getting into medical dramas with Code Black and it has been successful in ratings for CBS. I remember when in the 1980s it was a mega decade for medical dramas when NBC launched St. Elsewhere in 1982 medical dramas soon gained popularity with the audience and in the 90's you had a lot of medical dramas as well. I think with all the medical dramas being made today the medical drama genre has indeed gotten popular once again
Have you noticed this about medical dramas today?

I haven't watched a hospital show since ER and even that show lost me when they decided to get rid of Dr. Romano.

God bless you always!!!

P.S. Dr. Dave Malucci was my favorite character on that show and he was sadly written out too.
