Actor Jaleel White played the love-sick, suspenders-wearing nerd Steve Urkel on the long-running sitcom Family Matters (1989-98). White joined the show midway through its first season for what was supposed to be a one-time appearance, according to Mental_Floss, but audiences fell hard for the bumbling boy's cardigans and catchphrase: "Did I do that?" He became a regular and soon the series' most popular and recognizable star, even making appearances on other hit shows on ABC's TGIF lineup, including Full House*(1987-95) and Step by Step (1991-98). But when Family Matters ceased to matter, so too did White's career. What happened to our favorite TV nerd, and will we ever see White back in the spotlight?

I wonder how many other TV stars from the 90's are going to be accused of domestic violence. Sasha Mitchell (Cody) from Step By Step was also placed on this list.

P.S. I remember seeing Sasha tell about his history on an Entertainment Tonight installment and on there he said that his wife was the abusive one and everything that he did to her was in the defense of their children because her drug addiction made her turn on them.
