I was able to catch all but the first 20 minutes of it last night. It was a little bit of a let down, but still very enjoyable. It'll be on again tonight at 12AM eastern/11PM central.

I'll try and watch it. He does a good interview on Emmytvlegonds.org on his life and rise to fame. Very intresting.

The documentary was all over the place and I didn't care for it much. The few minutes they showed of the behind the scenes table readings of AITF, Good Times, and The Jeffersons were really cool though. I just wish they would of devoted more time to those segments and less time to all the meaningless fluff.

Looking back, while Lear was influential and a game-changer some of those shows were outright propaganda and pushed his political ideology. They were not bad shows but sometimes he really lacked restraint and went over-board on his "issues".

I missed it on PBS but I saw it on Youtube and I really like it. I've seen many interviews on him and he's a legond in TV.
