I was recently over on another site and learned that actress Hazel Shermet had died yesterday. She was 96. Because she made three appearances on "Gimme a Break!" and two on "Facts of Life", four hours before I visited that site, the same person posted the information on the both of those show's pages. Unfortunately, I am not skilled enough to go through the red tape to be able to post messages on that site. I think that it will be interesting to see what responses if any other posters give to that message. I think she will truly be missed!

Yes! She's in Heaven now with the Lord and reunited with her Family and Friends that have already passed! :)

When I first started this thread, I mentioned how I had read about the passing of Hazel on another site. So far, nobody has posted any replies to the post on either this show's page or the page of the "Facts of Life". I am a little bit surprised. I would have thought that she had more fans out there posting their memories of her. In any event, I was just over on the "Facts of Life" page of this site telling my buddies there about the whole situation. I think it will be interesting to see if my new thread generates any replies.

The site that you got your information from is also the site where I originally learned about Hazel's death. After over a week, someone actually responded to the initial post about it. This poster, who I am guessing is a man wrote that he imagines that the fact that it was written about was because she had appeared on "Gimme a Break!". He then went on to inquire about what parts she had played on that show. I think it will be interesting to see if somebody replies. If I ever get advanced enough to post messages on that site, I will be sure to tell him about the three parts that she played on "Gimme a Break!".
