A reminder that Sledge Hammer is now on MeTv. Two episodes per week airing on back-to-back Sunday nights at 11:00pm est.

I've had the entire series on DVD for a few years, but I still DVR the MeTv EPs.

I think it's actually 11 pm in the west?

Yeah. I was going to record them (just to watch once, then delete) before I decided I didn't have the time to watch. It's definitely on 2am EST.

Yeah I was just doing a random search and saw it listed on MeTV, it's on at 2am in the west coast so I'm DVR'ing it and deleting once I'm done.

As for my thoughts on the series, I hadn't seen it since way back when it was originally on and watching it now it's definitely one of those shows that were probably better with rose tinted glasses.

It's pretty brainless and Sledge Hammer is a complete moron, the comedy is a tad tame and not as tongue in cheek as I was thinking.

I am a bit of a late comer to this discussion. I agree that the show hasn't aged very well. However, it's watchable and forgettable at the same time. I don't remember watching it in the 1980s. Sometimes you watch/buy a series because it is a classic, well-written or a sense of nostalgia. Unfortunately, this show isn't one of those, but I am glad that it is on METV. It can be very funny at times.

Watched this for the first time and I gotta say that I'll never watch it again. It's horrible.

And it's ironic how despite it being mediocre the show would poke fun of other shows like Mr. Belvedere which was on the same network and also making fun of the new FOX newtork that was starting up.
