Doe's anyone see this show. Do they understand him? Notorious 05-17-2002, 12:18 AM i used to watch this in the summer of 2000, and it was weird! what is up with that little guy who is supposed to be a doll?! (there was an episode when he got drenched with water, and the color in his hair came out, and his hair was completely white! haha) i understood him, sometimes. i'm used to his voice, 7th Heaven and The Grinch. Kay Scarpetta 05-17-2002, 04:23 PM The little guy.....his name is Timmy on the show. Lesse, if I remember correctly, Tabitha made him. In the beginning of the show, he was petrified of Fluffy, which was quite funny. Anyone just LOVE Hecuba? Oh my Goodness, she was hillarious! I haven't watched it in over 3 months though. Ever since they were all down in Bermuda, Teresa the Fajita married Julian, Ivy the Bitch got hit by lightening, Charity the Evil one turned into Kay's slave, Eve and T.C. turned on Chad, Teresa and Ethan were through, Rebecca the Tramp teamed up with Ivy to turn on Teresa, and Julian is dead now, isn't he. -*Forever*- 05-17-2002, 10:15 PM I watched it over Christmas break- it was weird. Yes, Trixie, Julian is dead. And something about Timmy wanting to be real.... weird. Because Sam came and said everyone was a suspect because they smelled like fish, but it was really Tabitha who pushed him in.... Right or wrong? -*Forever*- 05-18-2002, 01:00 PM Originally posted by Lisa Whelchel Forever Yeah..I think Julian fell into the fish chopper, didn't he? Right or wrong? *shrugs* I dunno, I just knew he was dead from our lil info thingie on the TV. 80sTrivia 05-24-2002, 11:17 PM I can't bear to watch Passions. I won't go anywhere near the channel it is broadcast on during air time! I just think it is a sad Dark Shadows knock-off, with worse acting and writing!!! :D TMC 04-26-2016, 12:18 AM http://rowdyc.com/tv-trash-passions/ Why make the celebration of 200 episodes into one big soap opera??? Zoneboy 04-26-2016, 12:47 AM It's hard to watch even 2 minutes of that idiot, let alone 30. Hawkee 04-26-2017, 02:32 AM I first saw Passions with my mom at a Kmart store because every display TV in the electronics section would play it as a demonstration show for their TV's and I simply cannot understand why this soap opera became popular when it first came out because when Mom and I watched an episode at Kmart I used to think Passions had a weird storyline and it always seemed to have the characters have adventures that always ended with a battle or a fight and I thought it was surprising because I had never noticed soap operas that did these types of storylines before. Another thing that I noticed about Passions is that sometimes they would start with hospital scenes and it seems that when a character on Passions was in the hospital a fight would began and I could never figure out why NBC decided to do this with Passions. As Passions became a popular soap opera on NBC it had become a huge sensation because it seemed that every Soap Opera Digest magazine had every Passions star on it's cover and as the stars became popular in the soap opera world the cast of Passions even appeared on a Soap Stars Edition of Louie Anderson's Family Feud. But I think when actor Josh Evans passed away Passions started to go downhill and I think with Josh gone the ratings for Passions began to wane and I think that's why NBC decided to cancel Passions but I wish NBC could create more soap operas because I find it shocking that the only soap opera they have that's surviving is Days Of Our Lives and a soap opera like Passions would work it's magic for NBC someday Bestie tlc38tlc38 04-26-2017, 07:46 AM I loved Passions, especially when Timmy was on! I still watch DOOL every day. Ron Ron 04-26-2017, 07:05 PM Never liked the show but watched because of two things:D https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/564x/8b/1e/00/8b1e0079a3be1238ec90364b029029d9.jpg http://jimhalterman.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/EricMartsolf.jpg Both played Ethan Crane. dwayne99 05-23-2017, 10:36 AM ****!!! SophiasPurse616 07-26-2017, 08:37 PM Passions had a weird storyline I think that was the best part about Passions the weird storylines. It contained a lot of the supernatural to go along with your basic soap opera drama. You have a 300 year old witch who uses spells and tricks to bring evil to the town, has a talking doll that always speaks in 3rd person (example in Timmy’s voice: “Timmy doesn’t like being in the dark”) and only comes alive in her presence. You have people selling their souls to the Devil to get the one they love only to have it blow in their face but that never stops them and the scheming continues until they get who they want, (Passions!) a house gets sucked into hell, a monkey is a nurse for an elderly woman (yes you read that right), an heiress on the verge of dying is walking into the white light but is stopped by Princess Diana who tells her to go back it’s not her turn to die. You could hear 'her voice' and everything!! LOLOL!! (I remember saying to myself what the hell am I watching! LOL!) Everyone is connected and everyone had more skeletons in their closet than John Wayne Gacy had under his house. It was strangely interesting to me at least. I think when actor Josh Evans passed away Passions started to go downhill That played a role in it I’m sure of that also another reason I’m sure of….they never knew how to end a storyline. I know soap operas can have long stories before the breakthrough secret is revealed but Passions took it to another level and that was for the worse. I’m talking about the Theresa/Ethan/Gwen storyline. MANY people wanted to see Gwen along with her slutty gold digging mother go down for the endless amount of crap they pulled on Theresa with no consequences while Theresa had to pay for her crap every single time. For years I patiently waited for Gwen to get hers but it never happened….until the final episode. One thing that drove me up a wall, they will start the show with a scene that finally Gwen and her mother are exposed, Ethan will be with Theresa and just when you think it’s real……it turns out someone is just dreaming about it. That was the final straw for me as they constantly did that and I wasn't the only one with that same annoying problem. I think that's why NBC decided to cancel Passions but I wish NBC could create more soap operas Passions would have stayed on if it had been for two things in my opinion; the length of storylines, and ratings. he one thing I never understood with NBC was the fact that they knew Passions was a big hit with the teenager/young adult crowd. The show started at 2….when many of their greatest demographic is still in school. I was lucky if I ran fast enough home to catch the last 10-15 minutes of the show. I’m sure legally and financially it would be extra tough, but I wish they aired it in the evenings when their largest demographic would be home to watch. Christopher 07-28-2017, 01:12 PM I can't bear to watch Passions. I won't go anywhere near the channel it is broadcast on during air time! I just think it is a sad Dark Shadows knock-off, with worse acting and writing!!! :D Actually Passions was nothing like Dark Shadows. The soap that really tried being a poor imitation of Dark Shadows was Port Charles. They had vampires, a reincarnation of the vampire's true love, and they were just about to go further with a werewolf storyline like Dark Shadows before getting canceled. Passions supernatural stories weren't anything like Dark Shadows. They weren't great like Dark Shadows, but it at times was amusing to watch for the characters of Tabitha and Timmy (Josh Ryan Evans). When Josh died, the writers dropped the supernatural element. It became like a filler for when the major storylines needed a break. I don't understand their reasoning for it because I think having the supernatural element heavy like it was the first 3 years before Josh died gave the show better ratings. It was sad to see Passions change into an ordinary dull soap opera. MA 07-28-2017, 01:21 PM I thought the guy who played Timmy was cute. |
