Supergirl hit the schedule last night. If you are a regular CBS watcher, you may not remember seeing the show on the schedule last night, but that's because Supergirl has moved to its new home on the CW (https://www.yahoo.com/movies/tv-ratings-supergirl-sustains-cw-move-152917043.html). Changes like a move to a new network can sometimes be hard for a show to recover from, which is why we were so curious to see how Supergirl did in its Monday premiere. As it turns out, it crushed the timeslot, but certainly lost quite a few viewers since it ended its CBS run. One way the show inadvertently saved money was by signing on Calista Flockhart as a recurring character rather than a lead on the drama.
I don't see that as a big loss, I never thought of Cat Grant integral to the show anyway.
