When people eat at a round table they crowd around one side and leave the other side empty

They just walk into peoples houses without knocking
They don't collect un employment
They act like jerks at work and don't get fired
They quit their job and the boss gives them their job back

If people need to, they just leave their jobs in the middle of the day. They just walk out the building. They may tell somebody but not the boss and even if I told the boss I'd still get in big trouble. I've seen that happen a lot
Some people on shows don't seem to work a lot but they still make ends meet and it doesn't bother them.
When people knock on the door it's almost like the other person is right behind the door because that's how fast they get there and the same thing with the phone.

Everybody wears designer clothes, married to smoking hot wives, kids are all perfect everyone goes to college even the slow ones none ever opt for the military.

no one ever pays for drinks in bars, working in a room full of people but only a few ever talk.

I use to think the episodes where characters get stuck in the bathroom were ridiculous....until it happened to ME a few months ago!

The mothers always wore dresses and pearls around the house, even while doing housework.

Where I grew up and live it's not that unusual for family (I'm not talking about nonrelatives) to enter without knocking, at least in my family anyways.

I've always thought it was kind of a ridiculous premise when somehow a sitcom character gets two dates for the same night and rather than break a date with one of them they try to keep the two dates (usually at the same restaurant) and run back and forth between two tables hoping that both dates don't figure out what's going on and storm out. Nobody I know would do something that stupid. I know on sitcoms it's done for laughs but really it's just selfish cowardly and stupid.

The character especially the women always wore high end jewelry, watches, shoes, handbags and purses and or drove around in expensive new vehicles regardless of income where as in real life if some you knew was only making $8.00 per hour and was driving around in a 2016 Jeep you'd think two things one they sure are putting in the hours or have a second job or two they've got some kind of racket going on.

do you mean they'll just order "a beer" and not say the brand name? Because I've seen people in real life do that. I've even done it.

Witches, Genies, Monsters, Talking horses, Talking cars, people noticing credits on clothes,cards,etc., getting blown up with just black spots on your face, riding on a rocket like a horse thinking your going to the moon looking for moon maidens that don't exist and surviving the trip, shrinking, turning invisible, and going up a telephone pole to answer the phone. Lol!

I always find it funny that whomever goes on a long car ride and the people never stops for gas. That car must run on damn good solar panels or something.

I was being silly with those wacky shows from the 60s. Watching those shows Gilligan, Jeannie, Bewitched, Mister Ed, Green Acres, The Beverly Hillbillies, and The Munsters are like watching cartoons.

Amnesia caused by a minor bump on the head. On every TV show in the 60's but rarely in real life. And on TV it's always cured by another bump on the head.

Well amnesia is pretty common actually. It's just that in real life someone gets a head injury and they'll forget all that happened a few minutes to maybe a few hours before or after the head injury and not their entire life (total amnesia) like they always do on TV and in the movies. That's known to happen but it's very rare.

when Rob had it happen to him on THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW once he wasn't cured by another bump on the head. It just wore off in a few hours.

Pregnant woman goes into labor and something happens to prevent her from getting to the hospital so she ends up giving birth in some unusual place. I don't know anybody that's happened to. Unless you count a few women I know of who chose to do a home birth but that's not really the same thing if it's by choice.

Even at my brothers house I knock on the door and I did at my mothers too when she was alive. I can sort of understand a kid aging fast because since it's a TV show, they can't go as slow as real life. And the other night on Barney Miller Harris gave Detrick a cup of coffee he had just poured and Detrick held the coffee by the cup and I thought, isn't that coffee hot? He needs to hold it by the handle and he drank it like it wasn't very hot, and I've seen that more then once on shows.

There were a lot of sitcoms in the 90's that had these kind of nerdy or not so good looking guys with these really good looking women. (Friends, Frasier, The King of Queens, Everybody Loves Raymond, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Family Matters) That doesn't happen much in real life at all. It's not unheard of and can definitely happen, it just doesn't seem to happen that often. :whatever:

That's what happened to me in November 2003 when I fell off my bicycle. It lasted for a month then things went back to normal.

I think that in the last 12 months I've heard at least 5 news stories about women giving birth suddenly, in a bathroom or on the side of the road or in their car, with either a young child helping or the father of the child, people not too experienced in birthing babies.

Feels like that happens much too often.
