(The SF Giants won the NL Wild Card by beating the NY Mets 3-0.)

(Ralph & Ed walk out of the subway and onto the streets of Brooklyn.)

Ralph: "Norton, what a lousy game."

Ed: "It was a dark, dark day."

Ralph: "I was all set on celebrating the NY Mets winning the 2016 World Series on the thirtieth anniversary of them winning the '86 World Series."

(Ed blows his nose.)

Ed: "They had such a good team last year too."

Ralph: "And those BUM Giants had to take that all away."

Ed: "What a bad game. I think that those Cubs should beat the Giants so they can get punished."

Ralph: "You are so right Norton. If those Giants win the World Series, I am pretty sure that that blowhard Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo is going to brag. I hate people who brag."

Ed: "Ain't that the pot calling the kettle black?"

Ralph: "Norton, I never brag. I am too big for that AND DON'T SAY ANYTHING."

McGarrity (from his apartment, yells): "THE GIANTS WON! I BET THAT FAT RALPH KRAMDEN IS ALL SAD. WHOO! WHOO!"

Ralph: "That lousy McGarrity. I wish he would get hit in the head with a baseball bat. All we can do is wait until next year. Maybe that year one of our NY teams, the Yankees or the Mets, will win the World Series."

(They both sing a song about waiting until next year. They actually reference the Cubs in the song due to their 108 year long drought and their 71 year long World Series appearance drought.)

(Jackie walks on stage. Crowd cheers.)

Jackie: "Thank you. GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE!"

(Crowd cheers.)
