My husband and I LOVE sitcoms but none of the new ones interest us at all so we watch the DVD's we have. Sitcoms have always been what we enjoyed the most, we all need laughter, especially in the world today.

We LOVE Game shows but only like the older ones which don't come on any channels we can get. I wish we could buy the original Dating Game, original Newlywed Game, original Family Feud, original Let's Make A Deal, Hollywood Squares etc...

We LOVE the old drama's
Lou Grant
McCloud
Columbo
Monk
The Walton's
and too many others to mention

We really are not a fan of the TV shows of today and we don't like reality shows.
We do enjoy the show Blue Bloods and we've watched Designated Survivor for the last two weeks.

Out of 100%:

50% of my viewing is reality shows:
Real Housewives of OC, NJ, NYC, Dallas, Atlanta, Potomac and Beverly Hills.
other Bravo shows like Flipping Out, Million Dollar Listing NYC and L.A., The People's Couch; Top Chef. Catfish: The TV Show, various HGTV/Food Network shows like Food Network Star, Property Brothers, House Hunters.

the remaining 50% is split up as follows:

40% scripted dramas:
How To Get Away With Murder, Scorpion, Grey's Anatomy, Quantico, Bull, This Is Us, Madam Secretary.

and 10% scripted comedy or sketch comedy:
Modern Family, Speechless, SNL, Inside Amy Schumer, Fresh off the Boat, Life In Pieces, reruns of classic comedies like The Golden Girls, Designing Women, Friends or Will & Grace.

My favorite shows are mostly sitcoms. Most are light -hearted , relaxing comedies. Nothing too heavy.

I enjoy dramas too but I don't watch them often. Dramas are heavy and somewhat "dark" if you know what I mean.

Westerns are good when I am in the mood. Just like dramas , many westerns are heavy and with a serious undertone , which I can take in small doses.

I enjoy game shows as well. I watch them as I wish or if I want to watch something relaxing or interesting.

From the many TV genres out there , sitcoms come out on top for me. Just like comfort food , sitcoms have a nostalgic appeal and warmth to them that makes me want more of it.
