"Grab that Dough" is my second favorite. bandonurse 09-27-2016, 05:30 PM Speaking of "My Brother, My Father", does anyone else find it odd that Sophia had both a brother named Angelo, and a sister named Angela? What parent does that? (Well, perhaps George Foreman is an exception; he named all 6 of his sons "George" after himself, then calls them buy their middle names to avoid confusion.) But it sure doesn't hide the arrogance and male ego when a man thinks he should have his name on every child a woman produces for him. We all know what the man's contribution is in getting someone pregnant. No awards coming from this side of the keyboard, dude. schmave 02-07-2017, 12:52 PM Speaking of "My Brother, My Father", does anyone else find it odd that Sophia had both a brother named Angelo, and a sister named Angela? Why, I don't know. I was just a kid back then and don't know why Nancy Walker couldn't have been brought back more. Like Stan, I think Angela would have been a fun relative to have pop in every so often. But unlike Stan, Angela was never mentioned again after her second and final appearance. Likewise, Angelo was not mentioned just a few episodes before he first appeared. Sophia says she and Angela are the only two remaining members of "the original family." That immediately tells the viewers there was no intention of that time of adding Angelo. I joked with my fiancee that everyone simply thought Angelo was dead because he hid his true life for so many years. |
