There’s a new sheriff in town on "Bates Motel" — and that’s not just an expression!
TVLine has learned exclusively that "Grey’s Anatomy" grad Brooke Smith is joining the A&E thriller’s fifth and final season as Sheriff Dana Green, the new face of the law in White Pine Bay. She succeeds the now-incarcerated Alex Romero (Nestor Carbonell).
Smith’s Dana is described as competent, professional, moralistic and sharp. She possesses a small-town vibe that belies her highly observant nature.
"Bates Motel‘s" 10-episode farewell season is slated to bow in 2017.
