"Once Upon a Time" Season 6 is ready to shed some more light on a Storybrooke hero’s past.

TVLine has learned exclusively that Gabrielle Rose is set to reprise her role as Charming’s mother, Ruth, who last appeared in one of Season 4’s Frozen flashbacks.



As Josh Dallas told us at Comic-Con, with the introduction of the purely Evil Queen, who possesses all of Regina’s past memories, David will come to discover “some things that he thought were truths in his life … maybe weren’t so true.”

The ABC drama opens its new season this Sunday at 8/7c; Rose will guest-star in Episode 7 flashbacks.

The Dragon Returns in "Once Upon a Time" Season 6

The Dragon appears to have escaped death at least twice!

EW has learned exclusively that Tzi Ma is slated to reprise his role as The Dragon on "Once Upon a Time" in season 6, though details on his return are being kept under wraps.



The magical being, who used his magic to heal muggles in a small Hong Kong clinic, first appeared in season 2, when he was seemingly taken down by the magic-hating Tamara (Sonequa Martin-Green). But he reappeared in the season 5 finale when the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla) made her presence known by ripping out The Dragon’s heart.

Considering he’ll be back in season 6, it appears he’s alive — though he may now be under the control of the Evil Queen.
