So I was browsing on YouTube last night and happened across some lyrics videos for a band called Buckacre, which I'd never heard of before. Is anybody else familiar with them? I listened to a couple of their songs and I really enjoy them, their style was country-rock, kind of reminds me of The Eagles. From what I found out in researching them they started out in Illinois and eventually got signed to MCA and released two albums with mostly good reviews but they never really got much radio play. After their second album was released the original lead singer left the band and was replaced and even though it sounds like they've stayed together since then they faded into obscurity. It's a shame I think they could've had a big career if they'd gotten more exposure. The original lead singer died at only 62 in 2010 from Lou Gehrig's disease. I went on Amazon and found one of their albums was available on cd and ordered it, I should get it in about a month. Weirdly, none of their songs are available on Amazon as digital downloads though. I'm just wondering if anybody else knows about the band and what you think of them.
