I've heard some sources say that Green Acres will transition from Antenna TV to MeTV sometime in 2018. I'm guessing this is a good thing, since MeTV has a history of treating its shows better (i.e. not credit crunching). I can only hope that policy will hold true two years from now.

I just wish a company would release the complete series in one nice big set. That'd make my day.

Cool! ;) I'm not very happy that Antenna put Green Acres on so early! :(

I wish they'd put it on Saturday and Sunday between 1-4.

This HAS actually run before on MeTV. And, the complete series will be out October 17!--and some people already have their copies!

Hope it's not aired in the early morning hours like "The Facts of Life".

Between 9am and 5pm would be great but that'll probably never happen because of their precious westerns.

Correct; from June to September 2012. This will be its second run which is why I said it's "returning".

Curiously, when they ran it in 2012 they only showed episodes from the first three seasons and I strongly suspected they were pulling them from the DVDs available at that time. For whatever reason, whether they get new prints or pull from the complete series DVDs, I hope they show the entire thing this time.

Even with it all out on DVD, I still hope they give it a good slot. Primetime would be wonderful but unlikely. Maybe to replace Hogan's Heroes at 10:00 PM or something.

^ANYTHING to replace "Hogan". LOL

^Yeah I agree. Hogan and friends have long outstayed their welcome.

Have we received official word from MeTV on what month it'll start? November 2018 will mark five years on Antenna, so maybe that's when their contract is up.

So happy it's coming to MeTV! I've been enjoying my dvd set! When I have free time, I pop in a disc and watch Oliver's vegetables 'shoost' up to the sky!

Maybe several other shows will also be added in 2018. The schedule now is getting stale...especially all the westerns clogging up daytime.

Exactly. I hate westerns. They also need to get rid of MASH and Hogan’s Heroes or at least move them to a different time. I hope with all these new shows coming to Antenna TV, maybe some more of the older ones will move from Antenna to Me.

In my world Green Acres already began 3 weeks ago, thanks to the new DVD set. What difference does it make whether Antenna or Me is or will show it, the point is it's on TV already for those that have never heard of DVDs and the thought of watching something that is not on a live TV broadcast is totally foreign to them.

I do agree though that Hogans Heroes & ESPECIALLY MUSH are LONG LONG WAY OVERDUE to be replaced. I hate both of those shows and haven't watched either one in decades and never plan to watch it.

BUT I do love those Westerns, the more the merrier. BUT (a lot of buts) the problem with Me's westerns are they keep showing the same small handful over and over, esp. Rifleman and Bonanza, they've long ago should have been shifted out and replaced with other never or hardly ever seen westerns like Joel McCrea's Tales of TX Rangers or The Loner or any number of other great westerns I could name. Believe it or not ME TV there actually were other westerns besides Rifleman.

What needs to go is some of those westerns, Hogan, or MASH.

It'd be nice if it came in January. I'm hoping for a completely revamped schedule from MeTV. It's okay to keep some things in place for a while, but to be honest keeping something in the same spot for years on end is beyond ridiculous. Hogan has been there what feels like three years. MASH I know for a fact has been there about six years, but it's probably closer to 7 or 8. It's been clogging the SAME exact spot for all those years. That is a problem. And yeah the afternoon westerns can go.

You may be right, as it's off the Antenna schedule effective January 2. I hope MeTV's schedule comes out soon.

There's a reason M*A*S*H has been in the same slot for years - it does well. Going back to it's early days in syndication, most stations ran it at 7 and/or 7:30pm as well. Also helps there is 250 odd episodes. It's one of the most successful shows from the 70's/80's in syndication. Heck it's also on WGN-America,TV LAND and SUNDANCE!

MeTV is unlikely to change any slot, or remove a show, that still does well. They just don't keep shows in a slot just to "clog" or tie-up a time slot. People continue to watch and advertisers continue to buy the air-time.

MeTV is successful for a reason, they know what works, and when and where it works. That's why you see some of the same series for the same shows year after year. MeTV is unlikely to revamp the whole line-up. Shows will stay where they do the best.

Some shows are what they call "evergreen" meaning they continue to be popular and do well year in and year out, decade after decade.

TV LAND ran HOGAN'S HEROES non-stop for over 5 years, and was the last show from the original line-up left when it ended it's long rerun. It also does well for MeTV.

It's lousy thinking like that that led to the disaster that is TV Land today. And worse, thinking this is just fine and the way of the world is even worse.:(

MUSH & Hogans Heroes both stink on ice and they are EVERYWHERE else, this is not the reason ME TV or for that matter why TV Land WAS created. It's these stations that were created and designed to show VINTAGE re: old classic TV shows that haven't been on or seen in years. :D

Real classics!, not shows that have run forever and have made everyone sick for just as long. No we don't need to accept crappy "popular" shows because we're told how popular they are (a statement I do NOT believe, by the way) what we want and why we go to classic TV stations is BECAUSE they show the programs all the other channels will not show. Their reason for being is to show classics not the so-called most popular crap out there.

I've only seen one or two Hogans but they bored me to DEATH.:p

MASH isn't so bad, but should be rested so it can be replaced with other shows.
