I like TV shows that have an extra something. Usually it's in the form of a character.

Here are my top 10 TV shows. Not all of them have something extra, but I think most do.

This is my list and why they have something special.

1. The Rifleman. 6'5.5" Lucas McCain, his trick rifle.

2. Bonanza. Hoss, his great strength and fighting ability.

3. Star Trek. Mr. Spock, an alien working with earthlings.

4. Bewitched. The interesting witchcraft and Darrin's reactions.

5. Happy Days. The Fonz.

6. The A-Team. B.A./fighting ability. Hannibal's sense of humor and unique plans. Face's cool and collected scams. Murdock, the only TV character certifiably insane.

7. Get Smart. Can't think of any. Except maybe Don Adams' convincing acting.

8. Starsky & Hutch. A cop show with a lot of humor, especially the earlier episodes.

9. All in the Family. Can't think of any. Maybe Carroll O'Connors excellent acting.

10. Walker, Texas Ranger. A Texas Ranger who is a karate expert.

"The Waltons"--Erin and Elizabeth. I'd have loved to have them as sisters.

Julia -- Julia Baker was elegant, sophisticated, witty, educated and very classy. She was single/widowed mother and a nurse raising a son. I loved their sweet relationship and Julia was a great role model.

I Dream of Jeannie -- I loved Jeannie's unique personality. She was fun, bubbly, energetic and innocent. But she also could be clever, feisty, and insightful. She also had that cool bottle and I loved her relationship with Major Nelson.

Gidget -- Gidget was so adorable and fun. I loved her relationship with her father. She felt like a best friend.

Sanford and Son -- I loved Lamont and Fred's father/son relationship. They were best friends.

Blackish -- The twins on this show are so cute and funny.

Good Times -- I love Thelma Evans. She was so beautiful and classy. I really looked up to her.

The Jeffersons -- George and Louise are one of my all-time favorite couples.

saturday night live and all of the great cast members sketches and music that they have had for over 40 years through all of its ups and downs and through all the clones good and bad that rival networks have launched over the years there is still only one real snl and even after 41 years its still fun to watch

I'd like to point out that Spock was actually half Vulcan-half human. So even though he wouldn't admit it he understood human nature somewhat.
