The real question will be what they do with the first season black-and-white episodes. Hallmark prefers color episodes, and shows early "Bewitched" and "I Dream of Jeannie" episodes that were colorized for Canadian TV. They don't show the B&W "My Three Sons" episodes at all. Should be interesting.

Hallmark Channel inked a programming deal with Paramount Domestic Television that expands the network's acquired fare.

The deal includes rights to 30 of Paramount's Perry Mason mystery titles, which will likely air in prime time.

Clint Eastwood's Rawhide, along with Gun Slingers and Have Gun Will Travel, will fill a Western block.

Comedy pickups include Hogan’s Heroes, Mork and Mindy, The Lucy Show and The Beverly Hillbillies.

OH MY GAWD! OH MY GAWD! OH MY GAWD! OH MY GAWD! I can not believe this. I almost wet my pants when I read The Lucy Show will be added to Hallmark's line-up. I have been waiting for this day to come for so long and now it's gonna happen! I am SO HAPPY! Finally this show is back on the air since 1996! I most DEFINITELY plan on taping both The Lucy Show and Mork and Mindy. Meanwhile . . . excuse me while I go scream . . .

OK. . . I'm done. :-) :D :D :D

Not true. Well, maybe where you live, but I still saw it on TV in 1999 on WCIU in Chicago in the mornings.

"The Lucy Show" has been on the air in Washington, DC since February, weekday mornings at 10:00 on CBS affiliate WUSA, Channel 9.

When does The Lucy Show start on Hallmark? Will it be in the fall around October?

It comes on my Independant Station at 3:30pm (central) every Wednesday. But they have tons of static......I can still see it a little clear tho.

That station is now static free! And I watched today! And it was great! It was the episode called "Lucy, the Bean Queen," in which Lucy buys a lot of beans to make some profits. I still can't wait till Hallmark picks it up because once a week isn't enough! (I know I couldn't live in 1962-68 ha?)

Hi,
Since the Lucy Show left in 1996 off of Nick at Nite, it has still been on. In 1997-1999, the show was put on Chicago's WCIU-TV. In 2001-2002 it was back on WCIU. At the same time, the TLN network, a religious network has aired and continues to air The Lucy Show every Wednesday and Friday at 5:30pm. Another religious network in Chicago (TV-38) aired the entire series of "Here's Lucy" and would like it back one day. They too had a special deal with Paramount television. Aside from the network/independant station airings, the Lucy Show is highly available in just about all video retailers. The Lucy Show is cheap, on DVD, and on VHS and can be found just about anywhere.

I know but they only put like 12 episodes from the whole series on DVD or Video. I have bought 4, 5 packs of The Lucy Show and most of them have the same episodes like Lucy & Carol, Lucy & The Draft, and Main Street USA. Those are just some of the episodes. Why wont they put the entire series on DVD?

I agree, they should put the series on DVD its a Popular Classic, I don't see why they have so many Box Sets on this series, if they keep releasing them like that, I don't see why they can't release the entire series.

First it was supposed to be added this fall now its in 2003? I hate Hallmark for making us Lucy fans wait! I wish they put 1st season on DVD. I love Lucy & Vivian on The Lucy Show. Did they ever make an episode to when Lucy left to California? I don't remember one and I don't think they did.

Actually the 4th season started out where Lucy went to California. It was titled "Lucy Goes to Marineland". In this episode, she enrolls her son Jerry in a military school. She also applies at the bank only to see her Danfield nemesis Mr. Mooney working there. You see, it was explained that Mr. Mooney was transferred and that he didn't want Lucy to know that he moved to California. She then begs him to hire her after she too is kind of bitter at the fact that she has to work with him again. This is also the episode where Lucy accidentally knocks Jerry's autographed ball out of his hand and in the dolphin tank. In real life, Lucy brought outtakes of this episode to the Steve Allen show.

I agree! I think they do need to get the entire The Lucy Show series out on DVD. I have three DVD packs of The Lucy Show along with one VHS pack and together I have a total of 19 episodes. Keep in mind, that some packs have the same episodes of them. We need to have more episodes out on DVD and not just the same 20-25 ones.

Here are the episodes that I have on DVD/VHS-bought
#111- "Lucy and George Burns", #112- "Lucy the Bean Queen", #114- "Lucy Gets a Roommate", #115- "Lucy and Carol In Palm Springs", #117- "Lucy Gets Caught in the Draft", #118- "Lucy and Paul Witchell", #119- "Lucy and John Wayne", #120- "Lucy Goes to London", #126- "Lucy the Babysitter", #129- "Lucy Meets the Law", #130- "Lucy the Fight Manager", #131- "Lucy and Sheldon Leonard", #132- "Lucy and Tennessee Ernie Ford", #133- "Lucy Gets Trapped", #135- "Little Old Lucy", #136- "Lucy the Starmaker", #137- "Lucy Meets the Berles", #138- "Lucy Gets Jack Benny's Account" and #139- "Lucy and Robert Goulet".

Most of the episodes that are out on DVD/VHS are from the 5th season (episodes #111 to #132) and about six 6th season episodes along with two 1st season episodes. That is not much compared to the amount of episodes there are of The Lucy Show: 156.

But fortunitely for me, I was able to get the whole series through tape trading.

This is such a shame that the deal fell through. I was very heartbroken and disappointed when I found that out. But then again, I wasn't that surprised because I kinda figured something would prevent it from being aired.

Was The Lucy Show ever closed-captioned any time it was on, on The Hallmark Channel, Nick-At-Nite, etc.?

Thanks,

Patrick

Okay, it was a couple years ago that this Hallmark thread was started, but apparently they are still considering adding TLS to their lineup. They have a survey with a list of shows their considering, including TLS. You can go put in your vote there. Here's the link:

That survey has been there for a while because I remember taking it a few years ago. I doubt The Lucy Show will ever be on air again. I hope after ILL is release on DVD, they will start this series. Even if they only release season one of the show, it would be nice to see some other episodes than the 30 that get released over and over again as new ones.
