In the music world today i've noticed that it's becoming rare to find teen pop stars and good teen pop music and I would like to know why this is? Is it because the teen pop music genre is fading fast and is being replaced by country and R&B music? Or is it because teen pop stars sell less records and want to update their image when they grow into adults? Take for instance from the 80's to the 90's there was a lot of teen stars that made it big such as Debbie Gibson and Tiffany and in boy bands there were The New Kids On The Block Menudo and Nelson. And in male singers there were teen stars that made it huge as well. But as soon as the 90's began the teen pop stars started to change their image and adopting a new look on their own. Take for example when singer Brandy came out she became a huge star and was considered a role model for all ages and had a great personality to match but when she grew up she changed her image and sang more mature lyrics in her songs. The same thing happened with the late Aaliyah and Monica and when Monica made her debut in the R&B world she was a mega star but then as she became an adult her popularity went downhill. Then when Britney Spears made her debut the teen pop genre returned and stars like Christina Aguilera were being huge successes in the music world. And boy bands like Hanson were successful as well in the teen pop market. And now that with stars like Justin Bieber Taylor Swift Miley Cyrus replacing teen pop stars I think we will see teen pop and teen pop stars making a comeback in the music scene
