View Full Version : The Lucy Show Complete Series Coming To DVD ILuvCarolBurnett 09-06-2016, 06:20 PM Yeah! http://tvshowsondvd.com/news/Lucy-The-Complete-Series/22627 Release Date: November 15 tlc38tlc38 09-06-2016, 07:06 PM I should've known. After I finish buying the seasons I need to complete the series, they go and release a complete series set..... My luck! Svenfan1234 09-06-2016, 07:17 PM I'm debating if I should buy this. I do love I Love Lucy, and I do like Here's Lucy and I've only seen bits and pieces of this here and there. Should I or shouldn't I? tlc38tlc38 09-06-2016, 08:32 PM ^Yes, get it. I know for a fact that season 1 is great. Lucy and Vivian are hysterical no matter what they're doing. gidgetgrape 09-06-2016, 08:45 PM I should've known. After I finish buying the seasons I need to complete the series, they go and release a complete series set..... My luck! Well, at least you've been able to enjoy them all this time. I bought them as they came out and that's how I look at it. gidgetgrape 09-06-2016, 11:35 PM I'm debating if I should buy this. I do love I Love Lucy, and I do like Here's Lucy and I've only seen bits and pieces of this here and there. Should I or shouldn't I? Hmmm....if you like Lucille Ball getting it seems like a no-brainier. However, be forewarned that the quality of episodes does get weaker as the series progresses. Most people prefer the Vivian Vance years, but there are some gems in later seasons. You have to go into it with a very light-hearted attitude because there's lots of slapstick and guest stars in the later years. LittleRickyII 09-07-2016, 10:24 PM I'm debating if I should buy this. The later episodes of TLS are at least on par with Here's Lucy, so that shouldn't be an issue. Svenfan1234 also "loves" I Love Lucy, and the earlier episodes of TLS are closer to that level of quality. No brainer for sure. Hazel Anyday 09-08-2016, 11:15 PM I've come to the conclusion a long time ago, most people, especially those that CLAIM how much they love a show or a movie, when it comes right down to it, most people are too cheap to buy it. I remember hearing from people who would claim "I've waited all my life to have X, I love X, I would do anything to see X again." OK, how about paying a small bit of money for it? "Oh, no thanks." or more often than not you get no response at all. Even here, on this Lucy Show site you had a guy professing his undying love of the show and how he was so disheartened and sad that ME TV took it off. When offered the basic common sense answer to the major disappointment in his life, that is, BUY IT and watch anytime you like. You get the old cheap guy response, uh well, uh, I guess not. No thanks, uh I guess I don't like the show that much after all. These cheapos that claim to love a show so much but when it comes down to "how about buying it?" they're suddenly no where to be found. They really make me sick. If you love a show as much as you claim you would have bought it long ago. Either buy it or don't dare complain if a TV station happens not to be showing it. The solution to this is obvious, BUY it already. Now with Lucy Show finally being released as a Complete Series Set you still have people still wondering, hmm should I buy it even though it's my favorite series of all time? I wonder. Meanwhile any normal fan of the show already has it as they most assuredly bought it separately as each season was released in the past. gidgetgrape 09-09-2016, 07:41 AM I've come to the conclusion a long time ago, most people, especially those that CLAIM how much they love a show or a movie, when it comes right down to it, most people are too cheap to buy it. Oh gosh, you are so right. When I wrote my original post I was going to suggest renting a few discs or watching it on Hulu, but I didn't because when I've said that to friends in the past, the response was "How can I do that for free?" |
