View Full Version : too tall?
Ok so I'm a nut when I fail to notice the tounge kiss on the marilyn episode but notice things like this,
In the show where Chico wants to install a bathtub don't you think that tub is way too short for his long lean frame?
Jack could hardly fit in it.
MariposaLKB 04-23-2002, 08:33 PM Joy, don't feel bad that you haven't been able to fully appreciate the impact of that kiss! It took me many viewings and lots of rewinding to notice that Freddie's tongue was involved--it is very quick!
As for the bathtub, I have always wondered that myself--his legs were sooo long I bet they would have hung out of the tub from the knees on down LOL! Not to mention his torso--he was quite long from the waist up as well! Poor baby would have probably been freezing! At least one very important part would have stayed nice and warm under the water LOL!
Pitooey 04-23-2002, 08:46 PM MARIPOSA!!! Did you say that? This thread must go to the Hubba Hubba postings. LOL.............
Seriously though........... He was too tall for that measly little bathtub.
MariposaLKB 04-23-2002, 08:52 PM Yes I did say that! Sometimes I just can't help myself! I do miss Club Hubba Hubba--maybe this will start it up again? Hee hee!
hue_mee 04-23-2002, 09:34 PM Mariposa your so funny! LOL. I remember noticing the famous liplock between Chico and marilyn and went bananas over the ...ahem .... quick movements ! hee hee! Just imagine the possibilities ladies! :dizzy:
atlangel 04-23-2002, 10:14 PM ROFLOL
Yes, I agree the bathtub was far too small for Our Prinze.
That famous scene with Marilyn gave me heart palpitations!! Whew!! The thoughts that came to mind...!!!
FREDDIE FOREVER AND EVER!!
Am I going to have to turn the hose on you guys??
Cheryl Harrell 04-24-2002, 12:52 AM I think I'm gonna have to call the fire dept LOL LOL! ;) ;)
I had always noticed that bathtub looked way too small to fit anyone...
atlangel 04-24-2002, 09:23 AM  Our Freddie is timeless in his appeal, talent and the incredible love he inspires.
FREDDIE FOREVER!!
tylersmistress2002 04-24-2002, 12:46 PM I missed it! OK, pleeese tell me what episode this is... I gotta see this again! lol
MariposaLKB 04-24-2002, 12:53 PM Tylersmistress, it was episode number 17, entitled "If I Were a Rich Man", in which Chico asks Marilyn to marry him and she doesn't want to because he will never be rich. The kiss is near the beginning of the episode when she comes into the garage to pick up her car, which Chico has been working on. Truth, if you blink you will miss the tongue, but it is definitely involved LOL!
atlangel 04-24-2002, 01:05 PM It is the one where Chico buys an engagement ring through Mando's cousin or uncle. He and Marilyn have been going out and he is ready to propose. He does it by putting the ring on her keychain. When she picks up her car she will notice it. She does and returns to the garage. Chico has gone to the store or drycleaners. Marilyn does not have the heart to tell Chico that she is turning down his marriage proposal. She enlists Ed's help to break the news to him. Ed tries, but he is not able to tell Chico either because he can see it will break his heart. Finally, Marilyn tells him and it will really get to you. First, because her reasons were pretty mercenary. Secondly, this is one of the many episodes where we see tears in Chico's eyes!!!
I hope you get to check out this episode because again, the kiss was awesome and will give you visions of passion, romance, ...
Ooops, there I go again!!
FREDDIE FOREVER AND EVER!!!
tylersmistress2002 04-24-2002, 02:50 PM Thanks...... I remember now. I just never caught the tongue! And I agree about the reasons.......I remember specifically him asking is there someone else, and her saying "yes, but I havent met him yet but whoever he was he would have to be successful, etc...... it made me sick to my stomache. I know its just TV, but there are lots of women out there like that.
I've wanted someone in my life with that kind of unselfish love all my life. If I ever found him, I wouldnt care how much he did or didnt have, we could work on that together. I know the old saying "its just as easy to fall in love with a rich man....." but that shouldnt be the first qualification for a relationship.
Tylersmisstress,I agree with you 100%
and besides she may marry a rich man who looks like a dogs butt,I'd rather take a guy whose easy on the eyes, kind and poor than ugly and rich
Cheryl Harrell 04-24-2002, 04:11 PM Yeah I am living proof of one marrying for love & not money. Sometimes I get a little envious of other couples cuz they have more money than us & are in better health. I admit to wishing I had some of the nice things other housewives have. But I realize how lucky I am to have a man who loves me, loves God & would never cheat on me & is a good husband. We may not have alot of money or good health but we've got love & that's what matters. I am thankful to God everyday for such a wonderful husband & I can only hope others get as wonderful a husband as I have. Yeah, you can marry someone for the money but if there is no love it's not worth it. I have the worlds best husband! (Sorry if I sound like I'm bragging...) :)
atlangel 04-24-2002, 04:26 PM That is perfectly fine Cheryl. I am very happy for you and have always noticed how much in love you are and how highly you speak of your hubby. It is definitely better to marry for love. The money and material possessions will come in time. I am single, but cannot imagine spending my life with someone I did not love. It truly is not worth it to have a house full of "things" and no one to love or love you back. I agree with you 100% that what is crucial is that he loves God, loves you and is faithful. To have a committed relationship has to be one of life's greater blessings. Much continued happiness, love and prosperity to you and yours.
FREDDIE FOREVER!!

You're not bragging......... I think "you're happy" with your hubby. I didn't marry my hubby for his wealth either. When I met him he didn't have a car. When we both got together we spoke about our dreams and aspirations and we just clicked. I Thank GOD for my dear hubby and he's not in the best of health either, but he will always be the love of my life......... No matter what.......... Plus I have my children who are a part of our love........
Cheryl Harrell 04-25-2002, 01:20 AM Thanks ya'll! To thsoe who aren't married yet, I'm sure you will find the perfect man eventually. I thought I'd never find anyone to lvoe me but I did. :) I have to give the credit to a friend who set me up on a blind date...
Pitooey 04-25-2002, 06:37 PM Yes Cheryl.......... When I met my hubby I had just come out of a 2 year relationship with a man who I adored. It didn't work out so I prayed to God
( and told God - I give up.....That's it!!! - I now will spend the rest of my life alone like an aunt I have)
Then 4 months later I met my dearest hubby. Now I always say - When you don't look for the person......... That's when they come.
Luckymama58 04-25-2002, 07:49 PM My hubby and I have this running joke between us. I always tell him I married him for his money and he always responds "Fooled you! HA HA HA!!! " (we are both poor WV school teachers) Then we laugh and get all affectionate with each other.
I married my hubby for many reasons, but I must say at the top of the list was his sense of humor. I sometimes wonder if I wasn't on the rebound a bit. I always admired Freddie's sense of humor (as well as that gorgeous physique) and I met my hubby only a month after Freddie was taken from us. Even though hubby does not resembly Freddie in the least (Well I think there are some attributes that might  ), I know that his sense of humor does remind me of Freddie and his down to earth realness, too. I know that hubby loves me, and that is worth all the money in the world and then some! ;) Girls like Marilyn are just plain FOOLS in my book! (IMHO)
tylersmistress2002 04-26-2002, 08:51 AM The definition of "rich" doesn't always have to include money. It sounds as tho you lady have a wealth of much greater value than any dollar bill. Its nice to hear that someone has a happy ending. I seemed to have missed mine somewhere along the way.
Cheryl Harrell 04-26-2002, 02:51 PM One day will you will your prince too! :) Good luck! :)
catcopy18 04-27-2002, 11:09 PM Wasn't there an early episode where Chico was bragging to Ed that he was 6' 2 and weighed 180 lbs.? Yes indeed he would have been too tall for that old fashioned bathtub! I'm sure by the end of his life he was not 180 lbs. anymore but that tall, slender body of his was still irresistible. ;)
Yes catcopy, there was,it was the GI episode, when the inspector adsked how large the student body was Chico replied 6'2 185 lbs
Pitooey 04-28-2002, 12:12 AM Ahhhh! I remember when he said that........ and after he said that, he clapped his hands. What a HUNK!!! :)
Cheryl Harrell 04-28-2002, 01:58 AM Ya'll are making me drool... ;)
