For those who've seen the finale for Tyler Perry's House of Payne, what did you think of it? Do you agree?

Just my opinion, but it's not only the worst sitcom finale I've ever seen, but it's also one of the worst episodes in TV history.

It was ridiculous how they left it so inconclusive. Especially when Miranda (a wife who makes Debra Barone look like an angel in comparison) divorces Calvin on their anniversary. Not to mention the final shot has the camera zoom in on the broken vase of flowers Calvin through across the room. Pure garbage.

I agree completely. I remember watching that finale and thinking while they were in that restaurant that there was only a few more minutes left for Calvin and Miranda to patch things up. I couldn't believe it ended that way. I was so mad! If that made you mad, you oughta try watching Tyler Perry's show The Haves and the Have Nots on OWN. That show is getting to be so unbelievable! But I still watch it every week. :lol:

That finale pretty much summed up my entire problem with the later seasons of House of Payne. Eventually, the show became way too serious for a comedy. Between the drama with Mercedes, Calvin getting shot, and every episode focusing on Calvin's marriage problems with that vile little witch Miranda, it was just a melodramatic mess.

Can't believe the vile witch Miranda used to be cute little Rudy from The Cosby Show! Wasn't Miranda's mother played by Anne Marie Johnson? I didn't like her in that show either. She was way too uppity just like her daughter.

Miranda's mom was actually played by Valarie Pettiford.

Janine's mom, however, was played by Anne Marie Johnson.

Yeah, it's easy to get them confused since they were both pretty similar.

Now as for The Have and Have Nots, I've never heard of it. I might watch a few episodes, though...if only to get a good laugh at Tyler Perry's awful writing :lol:

I never thought of Those Perry funny to begin with...but is HoP's finale worse than another show I can't watch...HIMYM? Did HoP give us an even worse finale than the final ep of HIMYM?
