Aug 29, 2016
"Pretty Little Liars" is coming to an end, officially.
After teasing that this season would be the "end of PLL as we know it," creator I. Marlene King and stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse announced via a Facebook Live video on Monday that Season 7 will be the end of the show.
"It's been an honor to work with such a talented cast and crew over the last seven years," King said in a statement.
"We are a family, and it will be hard to say goodbye to a show that has made such an impact on young audiences and been a mouthpiece for cultural change. I'm excited for fans to finally have all of their questions answered, and I believe they will be satisfied with the wild ride that is our last ten episodes."
The second half of the final season will kick off in April 2017 with a 10-episode run that will end with a two-hour "television event." The concluding part of the season will not only bring back Wren (Julian Morris) and Pastor Ted (Edward Kerr), but will also reveal who is A.D. and include a wedding for one of the five main protagonists.
The summer finale airs Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 8/7c on Freeform.
