Less than two weeks before CBS debuts its three-night docuseries that reexamines the JonBenét Ramsey murder case, A&E has scheduled a new documentary about the disappearance and murder of the 6-year-old beauty pageant contestant.

A&E announced on Thursday that it will air The Killing of JonBenét: The Truth Uncovered, a two-hour documentary that debuts on Labor Day, Sept. 5, at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

In December 1996, Ramsey was reported missing by her parents, John and Patsy Ramsey, who reported finding a ransom note. Hours later, the girl’s body was discovered in the basement of their Boulder, Colorado, home.

The murder remains unsolved.

The network says that the special will include the first sit-down interview with John Ramsey to mark the 20th anniversary of JonBenét’s death, and he will offer access to his diaries from that time period.

It also will offer up never-before-seen details of the case, such as a 1998 interview with JonBenét’s brother, Burke Ramsey, in which he describes his first-hand account of the events.

A&E also promises that “exclusive and shocking DNA evidence sheds new light on who actually committed the murder.”

Here are the other upcoming projects as the 20th anniversary of the case approaches:

- Investigation Discovery will premiere the three-night special JonBenét Ramsey: An American Murder Mystery on Sept. 12

- CBS' six-hour series The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey brings together the original investigators of the murder and new experts airing Sept. 18, 19, and 25

- Lifetime will air a television movie, tentatively titled Who Killed JonBenét?, in November
