I think they either were forced to release her or she found a way to escape. I seem to recall the angry guy was a light skinned Black guy with long hair, and his composite sketch was absolutely terrifying.

I believe you're thinking of the Opal Johnson abduction case. She was a postal worker who was abducted by a black male and a white male on October 30, 1987. The white male did try to tell Opal to calm down because he was apparently afraid of what the other man would do.
The men eventually abandon her in the trunk of her own car in the middle of the woods, but she is able to escape. However, the men were never identified.

And yeah they don't seem that scary now haha but the segment itself seemed quite frightening. Especially when the "angry" man wanted to push Opal's car in the lake with her in the trunk! :eek: Luckily the other man was able to talk him out of it.
