it's sad that it never got through after the last episode. I think the people behind the series just need to erase the series from the dallas canon

I've erased it from mine. Other than honoring Larry Hagman and finally explaining what happened to Pam, the rest was garbage.

Larry Hagman's death caused the public to lose interest in the 2012 Dallas series. I'm not sure if its ratings were already on the decline before his death. I assume that the cliffhanger at the end of its third season didn't need any resolution because of the ratings decline following Mr. Hagman's death, and that people were fine with the 2012 Dallas series ending on a cliffhanger.

I think it would've been best if the show had ended with Cliff going to prison for JR's death. Instead of meeting with Elena, a guard hands him an envelope, it contains a card with a sound chip. When Cliff opens the card he sees the words "GOTCHA," and he hears a familiar laugh from the card and the scene fades out with Cliff having a stunned look on his face. The final stroke to JR's masterpiece.
