Star Trek Beyond, the third film in the rebooted sci-fi series, heads into its fourth weekend of release with just over $200 million in global receipts and a secure spot in the weekly top 10 for at least another seven days. Domestically, the film is on pace to finish with $155 million - a huge drop from the previous two installments, both of which scored well north of $200 million in North America and enjoyed the largest box office totals in the franchise’s 30-plus year cinematic history. But while the domestic situation has to disappoint Paramount, overseas Beyond still has a lot of markets left in which to open during the next several weeks, including Japan, Mexico, China, and much of Europe.
