"Arrow" Casts Rocky IV's Dolph Lundgren as Russian Big Bad

Rocky IV opponent Dolph Lundgren has booked a recurring role on Season 5 of The CW’s "Arrow", it was announced on Thursday at the Television Critics Association summer press tour.



“In our flashbacks, which are set in Russia this season, we are going to be bringing in Dolph Lundgren as a Big Bad,” showrunner Wendy Mericle said.

"Arrow" returns Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 8/7c, where it now leads into the new drama "Frequency".

Dolph Lundgren Returns to "Arrow"

The Expendables action star tells EW that he has plans to return to "Arrow".

“I’m going back at the end of the season,” says Lundgren. “I’m doing three more episodes, trying to work it in somehow.” He adds, “I have a lot of fun, because my character talks quite a bit, which is nice, and he’s kind of comedic.”
