Bravo in April announced that its first original scripted series "Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce" was getting a three-season pickup through Season 5. But now the network confirmed that will be it for the Marti Noxon-created series – Season 5 will be its last.

The new installments also will be abbreviated, with a total of 19 episodes spanning over 3 seasons vs. 13 episodes each for Seasons 1 and 2.

“This 19 episode order across 3 seasons enables Marti to tell the story she envisioned for the characters she created without the constraints of season to season orders, fully realized through to completion,” said Frances Berwick, president of lifestyle networks at NBCU Cable Entertainment.

“This also keeps the series relevant and top of mind for viewers with less waiting time between seasons.”

"Girlfriends’" got a lot of buzz with its launch, supported by a provocative marketing campaign, that put Bravo on the original scripted programming map. It has been a solid ratings performer — the recent Season 2 finale drawing a season-high 1.2 million viewers in Live+3.

The series will film the 19 episodes nearly continuously, with short hiatuses in between.
