It seems as if this page has been a dead zone for quite some time. Because of how long ago I have bleed dry anything that pertains to the show that I can think of to write, I have not posted anything for a while. However, I see that, at this point, the number of views of my most recent thread has climbed to 50. There is only one thing about the number 50 that I can think of to write about. In 1950, we were one year away from the publication of "The Catcher in the Rye". Is anyone here a fan of that book? I read it when I was 18. I thought it was a pretty good read. Let us speculate on who from "Gimme a Break!" would probably have read it and how they would perceive the story. Being that Julie was the brainy one, she probably would have read it for school or, on her own time if it had never been assigned. In season 3, Nell became a returning student. She first obtained her GED and then started to earn college credit. It may have been assigned in one of her classes. On top of that, it would probably have been one of the books that Addie would have had to read to earn her Phi Beta Kappa key! Any thoughts anyone?
