When I was younger, I looked forward to every Friday so I could watch TGIF! I'll say "Full House" and "Boy Meets World". But I also loved "Step By Step" and "Family Matters". All of those shows were great!

Someone said "Home Improvement". Did it start out on TGIF or something? I only remember it being on Tuesdays.

Those shows all sucked, especially "Full House", which was absolutely hideous!!! Now if you want to talk about a real ABC TGIF lineup, many years before they officially came up with the concept, how about this lineup from the 1971-72 season?

The Brady Bunch
The Partridge Family
That Girl
The Odd Couple
Room 222
Love, American Style

Now those were shows you can get excited about!!!!

I wouldnt say any of the shows sucked exactly, its all a matter of perspective. As for me, I loved Family Matters, Dinosaurs, and Full House. Nowadays i see Full House on TBS reruns, and the show just seems so rediculous now I cant believe I liked it when I was little, but hey you never know what you are going to like next.

I totally agree!! However, That Girl wasn't on ABC. Full House was terrible. Most shows were annoying except Webster, Mr. Belvedere, the 1st 5 years of Family Matters, the 1st couple years of Step by Step and Perfect Strangers.

When I was very young it was "The Flintstones", then it was "Star Trek" and "I SPY". Ben Gazzara's "Run For Your Life" and Michael Parks' unique hour show titled "Then Came Bronson"
....a man who gave "it" all up to ride around the USA in a motorcycle.

Other early favorites...afterschool....was "Yancey Derringer" starring Guy Madison. There was also an air rescue show named "The Whirlybirds", and something starring Keenyn Wynn titled "The Troubleshooters"...especially the show where they are digging through a mountain and discover an underground, sealed, Nazi stronghold with bad guys still alive !

There was "always" "Burke's Law" and "Honey West" !

Notwithstanding all of this entertainment, there were always "The Friday Night Fights" !!!!
