I may not have the scenario exactly right but , Mel and Alice, and I think Flo, are locked in the cellar and they have to spend the night there because no one has the key , but then they hear someone coming into the cellar and they see that it is an elderly woman who (as far as I recall of the plot) intends to steal from Mel, but she first tries to use the phone and sees that it has been locked and she says "Some jive turkey put a lock on the phone."

The elderly woman was a fairly well known actor and I don't recall her name.
