Just finished watching the final Golden Girls episode where Dorothy marries Lucas. ....... O.M.G.

Each time I watch it I am both horrified and amused by the butt-ugly wedding dress they made poor Bea Arthur wear. Those big loops on the bodice? What the heck were those supposed to mean?

Sorry stylists. You really dropped the ball on that one! :p

I agree. That's a hideous dress but in a way it did suit her style.

I'm reading Golden Girls Forever, and Bea Arthur said she hated the gown, and it was the first and only time costume designer Judy Evans ever did anything she didn't like.

Since it was the very last show GG Miss Evans would be working with Miss Arthur, I wonder if there might have been some kind of attempt to sabotage Miss Arthur via that gown on Miss Evan's part? I mean, what could Miss Arthur have done? Fire her when the show itself was ending? I don't think so.

Actually, I would shudder to think of what a person might be in for if they crossed Ms. "Diva" Arthur. Even after they were done working together.

Who knows what form of retaliation might be waiting for her? ticked:

Congrats to the US of A for our outstanding performance in the Summer Olympics. patriot:
