I mentioned this before, but I can't find my original post and now I can elaborate here lol

Can someone tell me when these episodes were packaged for TV Land (now Logo) that they decided to use Season 1 opening credits for some of Season 2 and Season 3's episodes.

What made it worst is when I saw Season 2's episode of "The Day of Beer & Weeds" with Season 3's opening credits (I can tell by the music)

If you look at some of the episodes for Seasons 4 and 5, they integrate the scene where Jack, Janet and Chrissy are holding up shirts into the syndicated openings. You can tell there's a slight break in the music towards the end

I recently saw a Season 7 episode with Jenilee Harrison in the opening credits.

and if you look really close at some of the episodes for Seasons 6-8, you'll notice towards the end of the opening when Jack and Janet pull Terri's arm, the film slows down

The only reason I can think of is time. Season 1 credits are significantly shorter since there is no montage of scenes from a past season.

The other edits to the credits are probably done for the same reason--to adjust the running time of the episode.

They could've used the syndicated openings like they did with the others. Why pick and choose a handful? That's unecessary work

On a side note, I never liked the Season 1 logo or music
