Is there a law against CBS, NBC, FOX or ABC to allow for the so called "s-word" and "f-word" to be allowed on television? If there is a law, why hasn't anyone challenged it under The First Amendment? I think it is annoying when they have to "beep" out certain words because it somehow offends someone.

One of my all time favorite shows "Parks and Recreation" the characters would sometimes use course language, not so much, but used on occasion.

Or nudity for that matter. HBO and those networks can show nudity and curse. Never much cared for HBO shows because of all the cursing (because they can) and showing of butts. Some butts I would like to see, others not so much.

So if this is a law, why hasn't anyone challenged it?

I personally wish the FCC would ban all swearing. I find it cheapens the shows. Do people find it funny?? I was watching the show What Would You Do and when people were upset or frustrated the language of people would come out in XXXX . Down deep you knew what they were saying. What is this a swearing culture??

Writers think they're 'being edgy' and 'pushing the envelope'. It just masks the fact that they have little talent and have to resort to shock value.

surprised I have not heard the S word on Network TV show when I have heard the A and B word

I have gotten used the B rhymes with witch word. I remember hearing Joan Collins uttering the B word on Dynasty. We live in a changing world.

Another word that isn't said on broadcast TV is *******.

Though they'll try to push shock on NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX, or CW...but we still have people who want PG-rated at most out there in America.
