MTV's 1981 premiere was probably the watershed moment for every kid who grew up in the 1980s. It felt like everything changed at that very moment.

MTV was as big a game-changer to my generation as the iPhone was to this generation.

Actually I watch more VH1 and now MTV Classic than I do regular tv.
