View Full Version : Your Three's Company episode
If you could have written a Three's Company episode, what would the plot have been? I would have wrote something Halloween related. A number of different scenarios are playing out in my mind, but it would have varied depending on what season the show was in/who was in the cast at the time.
Halloween would have been good, having them get spooked could have been funny.
I would have liked some episodes on the beach, maybe Jack or Mr. Furley having to be rescued from a muscled-up beach bully.
JackJanetChrissy 07-15-2016, 10:06 AM Great topic. I would have loved to have seen a Thanksgiving episode where Jack is cooking for the Ropers, Larry, the girls and maybe a few guests, like Reverend Snow and Dean Travers (don't ask me how they all would've ended up there, but it would have been fun to see them all in one room).
In early seasons we hardly ever see the trio outside the apartment---would've been nice to see Jack, Janet, and Chrissy at someone else's party, on the bus, or at the supermarket. We hear about all these things but never see them.
Halloween would've been super fun, too.

It took a lot of talent from the performers to make the show as great as it was, in spite of the cheapness of the producers.

I agree. I like that we don't see much outside the apartment in the early seasons---the performances were that much better. It's fun to think about, but it would've been a different show if we saw them always out and about in Season 1-3.
TVFactFan 07-16-2016, 10:22 AM I would have written a Ropers episode with the Trio as guest for Christmas and Jack falling into the Ropers Christmas Tree at the end of the episode and all tangled in the christmas lights around the tree

That sounds like a lot of fun. I wish they would've done more crossovers with The Ropers and Three's Company.

I know, not sure why it was only crossover. They all didn't have to appear again, maybe Janet could have appeared on the ropers alone or chrissy.

Definitely strange a Thanksgiving episode wasn't made.

Yeah, it's a perfect "cooking" holiday. I'm also surprised they only did the one Christmas episode, too. That would've been fun to see each year.
I did notice that in "Chrissy and the Guru," which aired shortly before October 31, Jack makes a trick-or-treat joke. That's about as close as we'll ever get to a Halloween episode, I guess.

I disagree about them putting out a Christmas episode every year. They wouldn't have topped the one they did. But they could have focused on other holidays, for sure.

Probably because TC wasn't a family sitcom. That's why the Jeffersons never had one
Sitcoms who have Thanksgiving eps normally have kids in the cast
TerriFan 10-02-2016, 02:41 AM I would have Janet and Terri break into the bistro to find out how Jack was able to do so much when he had trouble paying the rent. They find the books, open them, read them, look at each other, look at the book, look at each other, look at the book, carefully put up the book, and pass out. Then, they both try to get friendly with Jack(!) only to turn him off(!) when he realizes what happened.
Mace Dolex 10-12-2016, 02:24 PM A road trip episode maybe out to another state and/or country, Larry could borrow a used car from his dealer and all four of them would go on the road and wacky shenanigans would ensue.
