I didn't want to bring this up though tempted many times recently. Hazel has always been one of my all time favorite shows. But in the past couple years when watching it I get really annoyed when Hazel starts harping, nagging, and never letting up on her wants of whatever it is she is demanding Mr. B do. It never ever bothered me before, in fact I didn't really even notice it. But now I practically get indigestion (I eat breakfast when watching) when Hazel starts in on her incessant nagging and trying to get Mr. B what she wants thru never ending harping.

This guy can't even hide in the bathroom to get away from her incessant bullying techniques. My immediate reaction is FIRE HER! That would be my reaction the second time it happened. The fact that he never fires her or does anything but capitulate really annoys me now. I used to watch the show 2 or 3 times a week, now it is so bothersome to me I only watch once a week, and try to hold my food down even then. Have I gotten grouchier in my old age? Whatever it is, it's definitely opposite to how I used to feel watching Hazel. I used to really enjoy this show. I'm sorry I don't anymore I really miss how much I used to like this show.

Except for the few episodes when Hazel and Mr. B are on the same side working together, I am always upset watching. Unfortunately for me those episodes where Hazel and Mr. B are together are far and few.

Thats why I hardly watch Hazel. She's too annoying. I feel like telling her wash the toilet and mine your own business

OH Nuts!

Well, Hazel was Queen of the Buttinsky's no doubt about that. BUT because her heart was always in the right place, she pretty much got away with it. Her strong personality, and George's impotent posturing don't bother me too much. This was the 60s so the show wasn't supposed to be logical-just entertaining.

I'm actually in the middle of S4' which I checked out from the library. While I really enjoy the show too, my pet peeve with it is the way Hazel ALWAYS saves the day. sheesh- the only things the writers on the show don't have her do is discover a cure for cancer. But despiite this, the show's still fun--you just have to remember it's fiction!
